Walter L. Burson, age 66,formerly of Brewster , OH , passed away Saturday
morning Dec. 26. 2009 in the Carroll Healthcare Center in Carrollton . OH. Born
July 17. 1943 in Dover , OH, he was the son of the late Walter and Betty J.
(Smith) Burson. A 1961 graduate of Strasburg High School , Walter worked as the
Technical Director for the STARS Racing Series before becoming the Chief
Technical Inspector for the late models in the World of Outlaws Racing. Along
with his wife, the former Patricia Edwards, whom he married Dec. 24, 1971, he is
survived by two sons, Michael Burson of Canal Fulton and Joshua Burson of
Brewster; one daughter, Michelle ( Gary ) Burtt of Dellroy; and two grandchildren.
